Cloudy skies, rain likely in parts of PH – Pagasa

The easterlies remain the dominant weather system in the country, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

But overcast skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms could be expected over parts of Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said.

Flooding and landslides, according to Pagasa, are also likely in the regions of Davao and Zamboanga Peninsula as well as in the provinces of Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and South Cotabato.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain, the state weather agency noted.          /kga
