Four killed, 47 arrested in Bulacan drug busts

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, BULACAN — Four drugs suspects were killed during simultaneously police operations conducted in different  towns in Bulacan on Wednesday and Thursday.

A newly elected village councilor, Doris Abraham of Barangay (village) Sampaloc in San Rafael town, was also arrested along with 47 other suspects in 23 drug busts.

Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, identified the suspects only as “Onad” and “Ric” in Meycauayan City; Gilbert Lopez in Malolos City; and “Dame” in Guiguinto town.

Teams from 17 police stations seized 120 pieces of heat-sealed sachets of suspected “shabu (crystal meth); and four full-loaded firearms and ammunition.

The police also served 12 people with arrest warrants in Meycauayan, the City of San Jose del Monte, and the towns of Guiguinto, Bustos, San Miguel, Baliwag, Angat, and Dona Remedios Trinidad. /ee
