Drug suspect killed, ‘courier’ nabbed in Cavite, Rizal drug ops
SAN PEDRO CITY – Separate police operations in Cavite and Rizal provinces have resulted in the death of an alleged drug pusher and arrest of a suspected drug “courier”, police said on Wednesday.
In Kawit, Cavite, the slain suspect was identified as Jerome Herona.
Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, chief of the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police, said members of the Kawit police conducted a buy-bust operation around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Congbalay-Legaspi, wherein Herona reportedly sold a sachet of drugs to undercover policemen.
He said Herona suddenly drew his gun during the transaction, prompting the police to shoot him down.

Eleazar said police recovered from Datalio a total of 100 grams of suspected shabu placed in separate plastic bags worth around P680,000.
