SAN PEDRO CITY – Separate police operations in Cavite and Rizal provinces have resulted in the death of an alleged drug pusher and arrest of a suspected drug “courier”, police said on Wednesday.

In Kawit, Cavite, the slain suspect was identified as Jerome Herona.

Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, chief of the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police, said members of the Kawit police conducted a buy-bust operation around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Congbalay-Legaspi, wherein Herona reportedly sold a sachet of drugs to undercover policemen.

Datalio, a resident of Taguig City, was earlier arrested for illegal drugs in Pasay City but the case was dismissed allowing her release in March 2009.

Authorities learned she went back to the illegal trade and acted as a courier for a drug group based in Taguig City.            /kga
