School admin aide nabbed in Calapan City buy bust

CITY OF CALAPAN – Police arrested an administrative aide in a college in this city in a buy-bust operation on Friday afternoon.

Supt. Imelda Tolentino, Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) police information officer, identified the suspect as Wilmar Melendrez, 50, an employee of a state college in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro province.

Melendrez was arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation by Calapan police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Mimaropa at 5:35 p.m. in Sitio (sub-village) Ibaba at Barangay (village) Sapul.

Confiscated from Melendrez were two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (crystal meth), the P500 bill used as marked money and a motorcycle. MADONNA T. VIROLA
