PNP releases mid-year bonus for its personnel
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has released P6 billion for the mid-year bonus of its nearly 190,000-strong police force, PNP chief Dir. Gen. Oscar D. Albayalde said on Friday.
Albayalde said the PNP, through its Finance Service, has credited the mid-year bonus to the Land Bank of the Philippines payroll accounts of its 189,263 active duty personnel.
The bonus is equivalent to one month basic salary and the personnel entitled to receive it are those who have rendered at least four months of service from July 1, 2017, to May 15, 2018, with at least a satisfactory performance rating.
The police chief advised policemen to spend their bonuses to their families.
“’Yung mga nakatanggap ng bonus I think they [should] spend it to their family. I-declare nila sa kanilang mga asawa. And you cannot even… hindi mo naman pwede itago yan kasi it’s included in the ATM,” he said.

Albayalde said those who have pending administrative cases may still receive their bonuses, while those who were already penalized for administrative cases with penalty higher than reprimand are not eligible to receive the bonus. /jpv
