Manila Cathedral releases schedule of veneration for John Paul II’s relic

The Manila Cathedral on Thursday announced the details of the second public exposition and veneration of the blood relic of St. John Paul II.

Catholics and the faithful may view the relic at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, commonly known as the Manila Cathedral, in Intramuros, Manila on the following days:

– May 18 (Friday) Birthday of Pope John Paul II – 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
– May 19 (Saturday) Mass for the Family and Live and Veneration – 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
– May 20 (Sunday) Pentecost Sunday – 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisw, the pope’s former secretary, donated the relic to the Manila Cathedral last December.

John Paul, born as Karol Józef Wojtyłaserved, served as pope and sovereign of the Vatican city state from 1978 to 2005. /ee
