Reelected village council member gunned down in Quezon
LUCENA CITY – A reelected barangay kagawad (village council member) in Mulanay town in Quezon province was shot and killed by a motorcycle-riding gunman on Thursday morning.
Felix Moldon, re-elected council member in Barangay Sta. Rosa, was shot by an unidentified man using a handgun of still unknown caliber, while waiting along the roadside of Barangay Sto. Niño around 7:45 a.m., said Chief Insp. Joselito Araja, Mulanay police chief, in a spot report.
The gunman fled aboard his motorcycle after the shooting.
Moldon was rushed to a hospital in the nearby town of Catanauan but died along the way, police said.
Combined policemen and Army soldiers were tracking down the gunman.

The killing remains unsolved.
