A man in Sydney managed to extend his lucky day to a week when he won the lotto twice, getting 2.5 million Australian dollars (P99 million).

The Bondi resident, who has chosen to remain anonymous, won AUS $1,020,487.00 (P40.4 million) in the Monday draw at Bondi Sixway News.

Perhaps feeling like he would have a lucky streak, he used some of his winnings to buy another ticket to the jackpot from the same agency.

On Saturday, he was another AUS $1,457,834.33 (P58 million) richer, racking up his total winnings to AUS $2,478,321.33.

The man, who is in his 40s, told 9News, “I’m going to invest it very wisely.” He added that he would consult his accountant on how to manage the windfall.

He would also use the cash for immediate family’s needs, but friends will have no luck on getting a slice of it.

After splurging on a new car, he intends to purchase real estate in Bondi or the Gold Coast, and vacation in Honolulu. He added that he’ll continue to try his hand in the lottery because he believes “God is looking after me.” Niña V. Guno/JB
