Quiapo poll bet dies of heart attack

A candidate for barangay councilor in Quiapo, Manila died of heart attack on Monday shortly before the start of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections, a village official said.

Barangay 390 Chairman Hernane Francisco said that Felino Baligod Jr., 62, died at around 6:22 a.m.


Citing Francisco, Radyo Inquirer 990 AM reported that Baligod was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The Barangay and SK elections polls officially opened at 7 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m. on Monday. /ee
