A 37-year-old construction worker was killed after he fell from the second floor of a house being constructed in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City, at dawn yesterday.
Police said Angeles Gravino Jr., 37, a native of Clarin, Bohol province, came from a drinking session with fellow workers when the accident happened around 4 a.m.
The drinking binge ended around 10 p.m.
Jessie dela Cruz, a foreman at the construction site, said they went to sleep after the drinking session except Gravino who was seen roaming around while listening to a radio.

The surroundings were already silent when the workers were awakened by a thud around 4 a.m.
A bloodied Gravino was later found slumped on the ground.
The second floor of the house was about 16 feet high.
