Policeman shot, wounded in Aloguinsan

A 38-YEAR-OLD policeman was shot and wounded in barangay Zaragosa, Aloguinsan town, western Cebu.

PO2 Demetrius Guzman was shot in the right leg.

Guzman and PO1 Sany Solomon, who were on board a motorcycle, went to the barangay for a surveillance operation against suspected illegal drug peddlers past 10 p.m. last Monday night.

Police said a man on a motorcycle appeared from behind and fired shots at the two policemen.

The assailant sped off to an unknown direction after the attack. Guzman was brought to the Pinamungajan District Hospital.
