LOOK: Bato sworn in as BuCor chief

Former Philippine National police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa took his oath as the new director general of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Friday.
Dela Rosa was sworn in at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Manila by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
Dela Rosa has reiterated his earlier promise to continue the administration’s crackdown against illegal drugs inside the BuCor.
“The expectation is so high para sa akin malinis ko ang BuCor at pag di ko kinaya kailangan mag-resign pero kakayanin ko yan hindi ako sumusuko,” he said during a press briefing after swearing in in his new post.
Pressed on his time table and plan to eradicate the drug trade inside the prison, Dela Rosa said: “Ako ASAP sana, kaya nga gulpi-de-gulat ang pasok ko run.”
“Kayo na bahala mag-imagine basta gagawan ko ng paraan,” he added. /muf
