“Wala pa ho akong mga planong ganoon,” Sereno told reporters after the Women on Fire Forum at Adamson University in Manila.

Last month, a newspaper report quoting anonymous sources claimed that Sereno is considering running for the Senate in next year’s mid-term election.

However, Sereno said she wants only to serve the public by listening to the call of the people who want her to return to the Supreme Court.

“Sinasabi nila panahon na para magtrabaho nang husto sa Korte Suprema,” Sereno said.

The Chief Justice is currently on an indefinite leave as she prepares for her defense once the impeachment complaint against her reaches the Senate.

Sereno is also the subject of a quo warranto case before the Supreme Court— an attempt to remove her from office without an impeachment trial.

The high court will have a special en banc session on Friday to rule on the quo warranto petition./vvp
