3 dead, 1 hurt as 12-wheeler truck crushes tricycle in Taguig
Three persons were killed and another was hurt as a a 12-wheeler truck carrying sand squashed a tricycle in Taguig City on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Taguig Rescue personnel, the fatalities were all passengers of the tryciclye – identified as 31-year-old Coritha Lycop, her 4-year-old son Miguel, and 47-year-old Anna Señeres, all residents of Barangay Signal Village.
They were taken to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital, where they pronounced dead with body and head injuries.
The driver of the tricycle, 35-year-old Ruel Lycop, husband of the woman and father of the boy who died, was also taken to the same hospital for treatment.
In a report by the Taguig Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Miguel was driving his tricycle on the way to his son’s school when they ran into the truck (with plate number ABR 6205) on Pio Felipe Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan at 1:45 p.m.
On reaching a part of where an excavation was underway, the sand-carrying dump truck lost its balance, tilted to its left, and fell to the ground, crushing the tricycle.

He would be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, physical injuries and damage to property. /atm
