May 14 is special non-working day

President Rodrigo Duterte has declared Monday, May 14, as a special non-working day due to the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

Duterte signed proclamation 479 on Wednesday, May 2.

“Monday, 14 May 2018 should be declared a special (non-working day) to enable the people to fully exercise their right of suffrage,” the proclamation read. /atm
