Drug suspect wounded, 3 nabbed in Laguna, Batangas buy-busts

SAN PEDRO CITY – A drug pusher was wounded, while three others were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Batangas and Laguna provinces early morning Tuesday, police said.

In Batangas, a buy-bust operation resulted in a firefight between the police and illegal drug suspects in Barangay Caloocan, Balayan town around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Calabarzon police director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said the suspect, identified only by his alias “Pampers,” suffered a bullet wound as they tried to avoid arrest by shooting it out with the police.

The police also arrested Michelle Englis, while suspected drug peddler Ronaldo Gutierrez and a still unidentified man had escaped.

In Biñan City, Laguna, two suspected drug pushers were arrested around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Canlalay.

A police report identified them as Eduardo Marcilla and Antonio Payapag Jr. The police recovered a sachet of suspected shabu during the buy-bust operation. MARICAR CINCO
