LRT-2 to give free rides on Labor Day
The Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) will give Filipino workers free rides on Tuesday in celebration of Labor Day.
The free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or during the so-called rush hours.
In an advisory on Monday, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said all workers from the private and public sector may avail of free rides.

“In celebration of Labor Day, our vigorous Filipino workers are entitled to ride for free at LRT-2 tomorrow,” the LRTA said.

To avail of the free rides, each worker must only present his or her company identification card at any LRT-2 station, the management said.
The LRT-2 serves 11 stations and runs from Santolan in Pasig City to Recto in Manila. /ee
