President Rodrigo Duterte may still sign an executive order (EO) on contractualization, Malacañang said on Monday.
The news came as the President and Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III are expected to meet at the Palace on Monday night.
“I can confirm that there might be an EO that may or may not be signed depending on their meeting tonight,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a Palace briefing.
Roque had earlier said the President would not sign an EO to end labor contractualization as he would just leave it to Congress to deal with the practice of “endo,” or end of contract. /je
