Rainy Saturday for Mindanao – Pagasa

An inter tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, the state weather bureau said on Saturday.

The southern section of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4:00 a.m. bulletin.

Pagasa cautioned residents in the affected area to prepare for possible flooding and flashfloods due to the weather system.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added.     /muf
