Repairs on Edsa, other QC roads set from April 20 to 23

Motorists should brace for heavy traffic as repair activities along Edsa and other major roads in Quezon City have been scheduled from Friday evening, April 20, to Monday morning, April 23.

In a travel advisory, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that road rehabilitation begins at 11:00 p.m. on Friday and ends at 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

The repairs would cover the following road sections of EDSA.

Southbound:

-from M. Ignacio Diaz to P. Tuazon Boulevard, first lane from center island

-from Eugenio Lopez to after Scout Borromeo, innermost lane

Northbound:

-fronting Vertis North to Trinoma Mall, third lane

-fronting Florida Bus Station, second lane from sidewalk

-from Mapagmahal Street to East Avenue, first lane from sidewalk

Likewise, other roads in Quezon City and Manila that would undergo repairs were the following:

Southbound:

-A. Bonifacio Avenue, before footbridge of C3, outerlane

Northbound:

-Quirino Highway, Lagro near Mater Carmeli, outerlane

-Congressional Avenue from San Beda Road to Visayas Avenue, third lane

Manila area:

-Espana Boulevard going to Quiapo near Don Quijote Street to V.G. Cruz Street, innermost lane

The DPWH advised motorists to take alternate routes to avoid traffic slowdown and build-up at construction areas.                        /muf
