/ 07:52 AM November 22, 2011

THE children who were allegedly exploited by their parents in a cybersex racket are doing well, Cebu Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale said yesterday.

Magpale, who visited the children last Saturday, told Cebu Daily News that she wanted the couple to know about their situation.

“They look  very healthy. I am assuring the parents that they are okay,” she said.

The parents of the children were charged with qualified trafficking and child abuse following their arrest in a raid at their home in Cordova town, south of Mactan Island, last June.

The hearing on the cyber pornography case in Cordova was rescheduled to Dec. 9 because the court wanted the full transcript of the interview of the victims translated to English. Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
