4.6 magnitude quake jolts Eastern Samar

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck northeast of the coast of San Policarpio, Eastern Samar on Tuesday night.

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the tremor was of tectonic origin measuring 46 kilometers below the surface.

No significant damage to properties has been reported as of posting time, it added.
