LUCENA CITY – Two alleged drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Candelaria town in Quezon province on Sunday and Monday, police said.
Quezon Police Director Sr. Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Shieryl Florande, 20, after she sold crystal meth or shabu to an undercover police in Barangay (village) Malabanban Norte around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
In another operation, policemen collared Juanito Bamba Jr., 42, in Barangay Malabanban Sur around 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Both suspects who were tagged by authorities as newly identified street-level drug pushers in the areas. Police said each suspect yielded one plastic sachet of shabu containing less than one gram.
According to a police agent, new drug pushers were only being trusted with a small quantity of the illegal drugs for easy disposal.
“It was sort of a test if they can really be trusted. Also, fewer losses for their suppliers once they are busted,” the undercover police said. /kga
