The country will experience warm weather for Saturday despite the cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers to occur due to localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau said.

In its weather advisory issued at 4 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said temperature may reach up to 38 degrees celsius in the country.

According to Pagasa, temperature as high as 35 degrees celsius may be felt across Metro Manila, while Baguio City may have 16 degrees celsius at some point until 4 a.m. Sunday.

The easterlies, meanwhile, will continue to affect the eastern portion of the country, Pagasa added.

On Tuesday, April 10, the Pagasa declared the start of dry season in the country that signals the end of the northeast monsoon, or cool wind blowing from north. /jpv
