Drunk gets killed for looking at man’s GF ‘maliciously’
A man stabbed dead a drunk who stared at his girlfriend “maliciously” in Taguig City on Monday.
Robert Valenzuela, 24, was immediately arrested by policemen who were on patrol, leading to his detention at the Taguig police station on a charge of homicide.
Seized from him was the murder weapon, a fan knife.
His victim, 25-year-old Foljhon Fuentes, died of multiple stab wounds in the body, including one in the chest.
In a report submitted to Supt. Alexader Santos, Taguig police chief, Valenzuela was walking with his girlfriend on M.R. Tiñga Avenue in Barangay Pinagsama at 12:30 a.m. Monday when Fuentes, who was drunk, bumped into him.
A shouting match erupted between the two men and Valenzuela later told police he was only trying to intimidate Fuentes, but he lost his temper when the victim looked at his girlfriend “maliciously.” —Dexter Cabalza
