The Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) will give Filipino veterans free rides from April 7 to 11.

In an advisory on Saturday, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said veterans may avail of unlimited free rides at any time between 4:30 a.m. until the end of the transit line’s operating hours.

“In the national observance of Philippine Veterans Week, all Filipino veterans (with one personal companion allowed per veteran passenger) may avail of the LRT-2’s free rides,” the advisory stated.

To avail of the free rides, veterans must present their identification cards issued by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), the LRTA said.

According to the LRTA, the free rides will be provided to veterans in the observance of the Philippine Veterans Week and the Araw ng Kagitingan, which is marked every April 9.   /muf
