The mere idea of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) missing the early transmission logs of the 2016 polls was enough for Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III to curse on social media.
“If Comelec says (the) early transmission logs I’m asking for are missing, sobrang obvious na nagkadayaan! P&£%@.$?¥ ina nyo!” Sotto wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
The supposed early transmission of votes was among the issues raised by the senator when he exposed in a privilege speech last month alleged irregularities during the 2016 elections.

Asked in a text message if the Comelec already informed him or the Senate that the early transmission logs were missing, Sotto said: “Not yet but I’m just saying I will not accept that answer.”
“These wet ballots issue is so alarming. 2 years nang basa? Ayaw matuyo. Logs are not available? Are they hiding some things?” the Majority Leader asked.
Sotto was apparently referring to statements of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. who said ballots from four precincts in Bato, Camarines Sur, were wet when they were opened for a recount on Monday.

The Supreme Court, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), began on Monday the vote recount for the electoral protest Marcos filed against Vice President Leni Robredo.
The Senate has yet to start its probe on Sotto’s cheating allegations. /cbb
