Poe: Remain faithful, hopeful for nation’s brighter future
Anger, indifference and wastefulness should not get in the way of managing the country’s affairs, Senator Grace Poe said in her Easter message.
Poe, in a statement issued to the media on Saturday, urged Filipinos to “rise from our failings and train our sights on a brighter horizon.”
“Lent gave us time to pause, step back and notice Christ’s work and suffering to redeem our souls and give us fresh beginnings,” Poe said.
The senator then recalled Pope Francis’ message that the Lenten season is a time for the faithful “to allow our hearts to beat once more in tune with the vibrant heart of Jesus.”
With this, Poe urged FIlipinos not to “allow anger, indifference and wastefulness overcome us as we manage our country’s daily affairs.”
