The country will continue to have cloudy skies with scattered rains on Black Saturday, the state weather bureau said.
The trough of Typhoon “Caloy,” with international name Jelawat, will still bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands Province.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin that Caloy, which is already outside the Philippine area of responsibility, was last spotted 1,930 kilometers east of Tuguegarao, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the provinces of Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes will also have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms but due to the northeasterly surface wind flow.
Pagasa added that the Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms. /jpv
