Australian shot dead in Negros Oriental town
CEBU CITY — A 61-year-old Australian was killed on Wednesday after he was shot by two unidentified assailants in Valencia town, Negros Oriental.
The victim was identified as Franz Kremser who was staying at the E&K Residence in Barangay Combado, Bacong town, which is adjacent to Valencia.
Chief Insp. Ronoel Fungo, chief of the Valencia Municipal Police Station, said in a phone interview that they were locating a woman who was with the Australian before he was killed at Purok 4 in Barangay Balugo, Valencia.
Investigation showed that Kremsmer was driving a motorcycle with a female passenger.
On reaching Purok 4, the foreigner stopped in front of two men who had been waiting by road,
A few minutes later, four shots were fired and the foreigner slumped on the ground. /atm
