Aquino welcomes South Korean First Couple at Palace

MANILA, Philippines- President Aquino on Monday welcomed in Malacañang South Korean President Lee Yung-Bak, who is here for a three-day state visit.

The South Korean leader arrived at the Palace with his wife, First Lady Kim Doon-Ok, at 9:10 a.m. to pay a courtesy call to Mr. Aquino.

Both leaders will later attend the expanded bilateral meeting.

They were also scheduled to attend a Korea business forum at the Manila hotel scheduled at noon Monday.

Just last month, Mr. Aquino welcomed the visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
