The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) handed out on Tuesday over P7.5 million in cash rewards to six civilian informants and another P6 million in cash for a job well-done to five antinarcotics units.

Aaron Aquino, PDEA director general, said the P7.5 million in reward was given to civilian tipsters under PDEA’s “Operation: Private Eye.”

The P6-million cash was given five units with “meritorious antidrug operations” under “Operation: Lawmen.”

In a statement on Tuesday, Aquino said the P7.5 million was given to informants with the code names Krugger, Jacpat, Mata, Keeper, BI-1 and Highway Man. —Jeannette I. Andrade
