Jail visitor who tried to bring in drugs nabbed

A woman was arrested after she was found carrying packs of suspected shabu when she visited her two sons at the Danao City Jail last Saturday afternoon.

Police said 29 packs of shabu were found inserted in the bra of Mardonia Alvaro, 55.

Alvaro went to the city jail to visit her two sons, Bernard and Jaime, who have been in detention for a year on drug charges.

As a standard operating procedure, JO1 Queennie Juen frisked Alvaro and found the packs of suspected drugs.

Alvaro was detained at Danao City police precinct while waiting for charges to be filed against her, said police.
