A trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is affecting Caraga and Davao region, which would likely bring overcast skies and scattered rain and thunderstorms in these parts of Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Friday.

The state weather agency also said that a tail-end of a cold front affects the Bicol region’s Friday weather, and will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms in that area.

Pagasa further said the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley Region, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain due to the northeast monsoon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said. /kga
