A northbound Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) train was forced to offload a thousand passengers during rush hour on Thursday evening due to a “door failure.”

In an advisory, MRT-3 media relations officer Aly Narvaez said the glitch was reported at Buendia Station at 6:19 p.m.

The glitch may have been caused by “stress in door components which may have caused by leaning on the door or forcing it open,” the MRT-3 official said.
