MRT 3 suffers 2nd glitch an hour after 1st one
Just an hour after a train of the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT 3) had a system failure, it once again faced another glitch on Monday evening.
Aly Narvaez, media relations officer of the MRT 3, said that at 8:03 p.m., the MRT-3 train unloaded its 400 passengers at the southbound section of Magallanes Station due to door failure.
She said that the cause of the mishap was “stress in door components which may have caused by leaning on the door or forcing it open.”
The MRT 3 management then reminded its passengers not to lean on the doors or force it to open.
Passengers were loaded in a train that arrived three minutes after, Narvaez said.
Prior to this, about 740 passengers were also unloaded at the Shaw Boulevard Station at 6:45 p.m. Narvaez said that cause of the first glitch was “electrical failure in our motor.” /atm
