Government operatives have arrested three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas, Cavite that yielded P2.5 million worth of shabu, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) disclosed on Saturday.

The suspects, identified as Mamal Monden Mauna, Madali Pandamdag Bombo alias “Dani,” and Babay Ibra Sarip, were collared after transacting with an undercover agent along Carlo Trinidad Avenue corner Congressional Avenue in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said that the three suspects were arrested on March 14, Wednesday, by joint elements of the PDEA’s Special Enforcement Service, Regional Office VI, Regional Office ARMM, and Regional Office IV-A.

PDEA agents seized from the suspects’ possession a black sling bag containing five large knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 500 grams with an estimated value of P2.5 million.

Also confiscated during the operation were two mobile phones and one paper bag containing marked money used by the undercover operatives.

Charges for sale of dangerous drugs in relation to conspiracy to trade illegal drugs in violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were being prepared against the suspects, Aquino said. /jpv
