In observance of Holy Week, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada has declared Holy Wednesday, March 28, a non-working holiday for employees of the local government of Manila.

“Honorable Mayor Joseph Estrada has declared March 28, 2018, Holy Wednesday as a non-working day in the City Government of Manila,” Estrada said in a memorandum posted on his official Facebook page on Tuesday night.

Estrada said that the suspension of work would allow the city government employees ample time to prepare for the Lent and give leeway for those who will be going out of town.  /jpv
