Slightly warm weather today in Baguio City
BAGUIO CITY—It may not be as cold as yesterday but it’s still chilly for many vacationers and tourists.
The country’s summer capital was slightly warmer on Tuesday morning when the temperature rose to 12.6 degrees Celsius, from the 11.2 degrees on Monday, according to the weather bureau.
The city would experience warmer temperature in the next few days between 14 and 15 degrees, which is relatively colder compared to the sizzling hot temperatures felt by the residents in Ilocos region, Cagayan Valley and other parts of Luzon, according to Eugene Ventura, weather observer of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) station here in Baguio.
The cool winds were triggered by the tail end of cold front, Ventura said.
The maximum temperature in Baguio this week is between 24 and 25 degrees, according to Ventura.
The city is expecting an increase in tourist arrivals this week as families and friends of the graduates of the Philippine Military Academy in Fort del Pilar are expected to attend the graduation ceremony on Sunday.
