Amid the controversies surrounding her impeachment case, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno can still keep the spark and romance in her marriage alive.
“Every night is a Valentine’s night for us,” Sereno said in a Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) forum on Friday when asked if she still had time for dates with her husband.
At home, Sereno said that she and her husband, Mario Jose, always make time to come together, to talk about all the happenings of the day, and to reassure each other that they were on the right track.

“That means we are basically home bound people. We are so comfortable in our house, in our simple house, and we consider it as a really fulfilling life, simple as it is. We see each other a lot. We don’t need to go out to have fun,” Sereno said.
“Inside is good,” she said./ac
