DID YOU KNOW: March 8 is a special day for women

The eighth day of March was declared Women’s Rights and International Peace Day by virtue of Proclamation No. 224 signed in 1988.

It also became  National Women’s Day, as designated by  Republic Act 6949 signed in 1990 by then President Corazon Aquino.

March is also Women’s Role in History Month under Proclamation No. 227 signed in 1988. —Marielle Medina
