Bong Revilla admits not preparing evidence
Former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. has admitted he did not prepare evidence to counter a plunder case involving P224.5 million of his Priority Development Assistance Funds, or pork barrel, saying he was clinging to hope that the Supreme Court would stop his trial at the antigraft court Sandiganbayan.
In a seven-page motion dated March 2, Revilla said presenting evidence would contradict his petition at the high court against a Sandiganbayan decision that did not allow him to file a demurrer that questions the Ombudsman’s evidence against him.
Revilla maintains that merely endorsing projects of Janet Lim-Napoles, alleged brains of the P10-billion pork barrel scam, did not constitute plunder. —Vince F. Nonato
