Senate OKs bill on baby nutrition, health for 1,000 days

Coinciding with the country’s celebration of National Women’s Month, the Senate approved a measure expanding government nutrition and health programs for women and children during the first 1,000 days of a baby’s life.

Senate Bill No. 1537, or the Healthy Nanay and Bulilit Act, passed with 18 votes. —Jocelyn R. Uy
