American nabbed in Olongapo for shabu possession
OLONGAPO CITY – A 49-year-old American was arrested on Tuesday morning for allegedly possessing shabu (crystal meth) during a court-ordered search at his apartment here.
Keith Owen, who resides in Barangay (village) East Tapinac, has been on the list of the local police’s high value targets, said Insp. Exodus Rodriguez, head of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit.
Seized from Owen were six small transparent plastic sachets believed to contain methamphetamine hydrochloride and drug paraphernalia, when police raided the American’s home at about 3 a.m. on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of the Regional Trial Court Branch 74 here.
Owen was charged for violating Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drug) of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 (the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./ac
