Cops kill man who hacked partner, 2 kids in Romblon
SAN PEDRO CITY – A man reportedly killed his partner and two children, before he himself was shot dead by responding policemen in San Andres, Romblon on Tuesday.
The slain suspect was identified as 33-year-old farmer Michael Forlaje Falceso.
Supt. Imelda Tolentino, spokesperson of the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police, said the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in Barangay Calunacon.
A neighbor of the Falcesos reported to the police that Michael had just killed his partner, Mylene Talangan, 31, and their two children, Emilyn, 9, and Erwin James, 5, by hacking them with a bolo.
When the police arrived, Falceso reportedly tried to attack them too, prompting Police Officer 2 Eliton Casidsid to shoot him.
Michael was hit in the stomach and died in the hospital.
