Six of nine campaign promises made by the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) have already been fulfilled, its president, Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, said, as the party marked its 36th anniversary Tuesday.

“Nine promises, six already fulfilled, all done within one year and a half of a six-year term! What a way to start a term! We did it because of team work,” Pimentel during his speech at the event.

Pimentel said the party had fulfilled its promises to wage an all-out war against illegal drugs and corruption, lower income tax, increase the salaries of military and police personnel, provide free irrigation and free tuition, and establish an independent foreign policy.
