Customs broker killed in ambush in Caloocan
A 26-year-old customs broker on his way to work was ambushed by two men on a motorcycle in Caloocan City on Monday morning.
Raymond Aniceto had just left his house on board his black Honda City when the motorcycle riders drew alongside him on D. Aquino Street in Barangay 46, Grace Park West, and shot him twice, said a report from Senior Supt. Jemar Modequillo, city
police chief.
Footage taken from a closed-circuit television camera showed the gunmen escaping as the victim’s car continued moving forward until it hit the curb and an electric post.
Aniceto died on the spot with gunshot wounds in the head and neck, according to Senior Insp. Dave Anthony Capurcos, chief of the Caloocan Police Community Precinct 2.
A Professional Regulation Commission ID found on the victim showed that he got his customs broker license in November 2014.
Quoting family members, Capurcos said that on Monday, Aniceto left for work at 7 a.m. which was unusual as he often left their house between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
