Floirendo posts P30,000 bail in graft case over Tadeco-BuCor deal
DAVAO CITY — Davao del Norte Rep. Antonio Floirendo Jr. personally posted a cash bond of P30,000 at the sala of Regional Trial Court Judge Emmanuel Carpio here past 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Floirendo pledged to make himself available at all times and to “appear before the Court where his case is assigned.”
Floirendo also pledged to submit a copy of his approved bond undertaking to the Sandiganbayan.
In his one-page order, Carpio directed “all enforcement officers” to “cease and desist from enforcing the warrant of arrest” the Sandiganbayan issued against Floirendo.
The Sandiganbayan had ordered Floirendo’s arrest in connection with the graft case filed against him by House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez over the joint venture agreement between his family’s company, Tagum Agricultural Development Co. (Tadeco), and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
