Cops nab suspected drug pusher in Lucena buy-bust

LUCENA CITY—Police arrested on Friday afternoon a targeted drug pusher in a buy-bust operation here, police announced on Saturday.

Supt. Vicente Cabatingan, Lucena police chief, said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Ryan Villarubia, 27, after he sold crystal meth or “shabu” to a policeman who acted as poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Ibabang Dupay.

Police seized a leather pouch containing 11 plastic sachets of shabu ready for distribution to his drug user clients and the marked money used in the drug sale.

The confiscated drugs weigh six grams with an estimated value of around P11,100 in the street market.

Police said the suspect was included in the list of alleged drug pushers targeted in the renewed “Oplan Tokhang” after intensive validation. /jpv
