‘Basyang’ weakens into low pressure area – Pagasa
Tropical Depression “Basyang” has weakened into a low pressure area on Wednesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.
Moderate to heavy rains with possible gusty conditions are still expected over Palawan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
The LPA may still re-intensify into a tropical depression, the weather bureau warned. It was last spotted 220 kilometers south of Puerto Princesa City.
The tail-end of a cold front will bring scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Quezon, Bicol region, and Eastern Visayas, Pagasa said.
Sea travel was not advised over the northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, and the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon due to the rough to very rough seas associated with the surge of the northeast monsoon.
